Back in 2005 I saw a Chiho Aoshima exhibit at the Blum & Poe Gallery in Los Angeles and it blew me away.  Heavily influenced by manga and anime, Aoshima is a protégé of Takashi Murakami and one of the artists of the Superflat movement.  The showcase of the exhibit was a seven minute animation on a five screen video display called “City Glow.”

You can check out “City Glow” at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston through Oct. 21, 2007 and get blown away too.
