Monkey Majik

Blaise Plant went to Japan to teach English.  He coaxed his brother into leaving Canada and joining him in Sendai and together with Japanese members Dick on bass and Tax on drums formed the band Monkey Majik.

Monkey Majik’s big break came last year when their song “Around the World” was chosen as the theme song for the TV drama “Saiyuki“ and reached #4 on the Japanese hit music chart. 

The brothers, who sing in English and Japanese, have followed up their hit song with a string of infectious, head-nodding, groovylicious singles.  For more info, check out this article in Metropolis.
