This week is Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo.

You may of heard of names like Issey Miyake and Kenzo, but the fact is that few Japanese designers are recognized internationally.  This event is the Japanese fashion industry’s attempt to showcase some of their best young talent. 

Beyond the catwalk, festivities include a textiles exhibition featuring new materials, a kimono stroll down historic Nihonbashi, and a hair coloring event.

The website is in English and has links to all the designers.  The best part though are the daily photo and video updates so you can see for yourself what the models are wearing down the “nekowalk.”
