A shopping trip to Tokyo wouldn’t be complete without exploring the Marui One department store in Shinjuku. That is if you can find it.
First of all, there are several Marui department stores in Shinjuku. Secondly, Marui One (also called Onejuku) is located on the 5th - 8th floors of the Marui Young department store. And lastly, the street sign to look for is “OIYoung”. (A circle is “maru” in Japanese.)
The easiest way to find Marui One is to start at the east exit of the JR Shinjuku station and head down Shinjuku dori (street) towards the Kinokuniya book store. About a block away from the exit, look for “OIYoung”, it will be on the left side. If you hit Kinokuniya, you went to far. Once inside Marui Young, head up the escalator to the 5th floor and you’re there!

Once inside, you’ll find dozens of small boutiques filled wall to wall with Gothic Lolita, street punk and other alternative styles as well as plenty of accessories, shoes, character goods and more.
Some of the brands you’ll find:
h. NAOTO
Alice Auaa
Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
Moi-même-Moitié
Putumayo
Metamorphose
SEXPOT ReVeNGe
Hellcat Punks
Kera Shop Arena and Kera Shop Angel are also located in side Marui One.
