Misio

Misio isn’t a bear or a hippo.  She’s a sleepy-looking cat. (Aren’t all cats sleepy-looking?) Misio is also a crochet character from the creative mind of Madoka Muno.

One unique feature Madoka added to her creation is armature wire that allows Misio to be posable.  Misio can model for a photo shoot or be the star of a YouTube video.

Each Misio is given a unique name and has its own life story.  You don’t buy a Misio, you adopt one.  Adoption requires a commitment and so an instruction manual has been written to help you provide the proper care.  For example, Misio does not like too much sun, she isn’t fond of being mixed up with other animals, and never smoke around her.

Misios have been adopted around the world through a very well-designed website, www.mymisio.com.  The website has been developed so that adoptive parents can share their Misio experiences.  What I like about Misio, is that Madoka took a toy and brought it to life by opening up the imagination.  According to the myMisio website, “Misio tries to observe how imaginary characters evolve over time, reflecting human desires, behavior and trends on various cultures.” Sugoi!
